With their fifth studio album 'Arirang', BTS has successfully conquered both national and international weekly music charts.
Reporting from Hanteo Chart on the 30th indicates that BTS's latest project, 'Arirang', secured the top position on both the weekly world chart and album chart between March 23-29. Astonishingly, it climbed to the chart's summit just three days following its release on March 20, maintaining its dominance for two consecutive weeks.

According to insights from a preview article by American music media Billboard on March 30, 'Arirang' has clinched the top spot on the 'Billboard 200' main album chart, dated April 4. The album debuted with 641,000 units, the most impressive weekly performance for a group album since December 2014, when unit tracking began. Notably, 532,000 of these were from pure album sales, both physical and digital, setting a decade-high record for group album sales within a single week.
In addition to their Billboard success, BTS has also prevailed on various global music charts. The group dominated Spotify's weekly metrics for the period of March 20-26, leading the 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists' global charts. The album's lead single, 'SWIM', achieved number one on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart, with all 14 tracks from the album making it to the top 30.
Furthermore, 'SWIM' held its leading position on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' for 9 and 7 consecutive days respectively, from March 20-28 and March 23-29. Moreover, every track from the album has been consistently present on the latest chart listings across both platforms. This continued strong performance, even ten days post-release, highlights the album's enduring appeal among global music enthusiasts.
Looking ahead, BTS is set to launch their 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from April 9 to 12. Their tour plans also include stadium concerts in South America during October, with scheduled performances in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Astonishingly, all 46 shows, including those in Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have sold out in advance, demonstrating their phenomenal ticket-selling power.
